The NIH has recently released their annual web reports, success rates and NIH Data Book with updated numbers for fiscal year 2017. While the success rate of research grant proposals has decreased from 19.1% to 18.7% since last year, the average size funded has increased from $499,221 to $520,429, so that’s encouraging.
